Hiking Mount Greylock - the highest peak in Massachusetts at 3,491 feet (1,064 m) - from the east along the Thunderbolt and Bellows Pipe trails. These trails double as ski slopes in the winter. While not a very long hike (less than 6 miles round trip), the ascent is very steep with an elevation gain of about 2300 ft.
