Jordan and I drove down to New Bedford Airport as the Collings Foundation's restored B-17, B-24 and B-25 were visiting. Not only were you able to tour them on the ground, these planes are in flying condition and did indeed take off at the end of the day. If you have enough money, you can even get a tour on one of these planes. And if you are insanely rich ($3300/hr), you can even get to fly their P-51 Mustang, which was accompanying these planes, but parked further away from the public display. (29 photos)

I joined Tim to work the grid at Lime Rock Park racetrack in Connecticut. This was primarily a vintage car event, with everything from old Fords to Lotuses and MGs. Although the weather was very wet in the morning, I had a lot of fun, and it was a great opportunity to snap some shots of cars you don't see every day. (16 photos)

I joined Tim Thomas and his mother to a rally car race near Dalton, New Hampshire. This was my first time working at a rally event. I worked starts and finishes exclusively - hence the lack of action photos. It was a very interesting experience, however. The captions are from memory - please correct me if I got anything wrong. I took a few photos of the full lunar eclipse that was visible in North America (and some other parts of the world) on August 28, 2007. The first photos in this series are taken around 4:40 AM, with a full eclipse at about 5:52 AM. At that time, the sun had already started to rise here on the east coast, however. (3 photos)
