Jordan and I drove down to New Bedford Airport as the Collings Foundation's restored B-17, B-24 and B-25 were visiting. Not only were you able to tour them on the ground, these planes are in flying condition and did indeed take off at the end of the day. If you have enough money, you can even get a tour on one of these planes. And if you are insanely rich ($3300/hr), you can even get to fly their P-51 Mustang, which was accompanying these planes, but parked further away from the public display.
