I took a few photos of the full lunar eclipse that was visible in North America (and some other parts of the world) on August 28, 2007. The first photos in this series are taken around 4:40 AM, with a full eclipse at about 5:52 AM. At that time, the sun had already started to rise here on the east coast, however.

"Closeup" of the moon at the initial phase of the eclipse. Or, as close as it gets anyway... An actual telephoto lens is high on my wish list. This photo is taken at 80 mm, heavily cropped and digitally enlarged.
